More than 300 years ago, a pair of landscape and flower pattern bookshelves were placed in the south study room as the emperor Kangxi’s daily necessities. Now they can only be viewed from a distance as a museum collection. Every winter in the Forbidden City is crowded with snow and gold tiles. Few people can distinguish azure, moon white, jade blue, and cinnabar. The dynasty will be outdated, but the beauty of architecture and the culture that has been deposited will not. As time goes by, the book pavilion discards precious materials, fades out the complicated patterns, and becomes the inspiration for the construction of the public dining space with the trend of opening and closing; the Chinese colors are once again painted, and the fireworks on the world are tuned into a new taste-inside and outside the IN.X house. In the brand new project Dayali Longhu store, the appearance of the Royal Imperial Cuisine once again brought surprises.




01 Yushufang IP enters public catering

In the two-story space of 1500 square meters, almost all the regional division is completed by the architectural structure. Facades, roofs, and structural columns are assembled by "plugging and assembly" by taking advantage of the situation. The rough concrete structural columns and the original structural beams that can be retained are clearly visible. They support the large frame of the restaurant. The plain original texture is all preserved. The rebuilt stairs, walls, and the large structure are connected to increase the integrity of the space structure. The moderate conversion of materials and colors erased the redundant design traces, and the Beijing city in the brand genes is vividly in the meantime.


Corresponding to the relatively magnificent and heavy structure is the wooden ceiling, which is like a huge bookshelf hung upside down, which can hold the entire Wenyuan Pavilion collection. Of course, this is just an intention of the designer to give the new space. Countless hollow lattices make the whole body like a breathable cover, hanging lightly above the space. Under the effect of structural levels, the lighting rhythm industry is full of possibilities. Literati's study room or royal queen, even no matter how classic it is, it is difficult to directly pursue "usage doctrine" in contemporary space. However, symbols that have been appropriately evolved can have design significance while promoting retrogressive traditional culture to the public's vision. One inch.




02 Balance Chinese colors

"Blue, red, yellow, white, and black are the five square colors"-as early as the spring and autumn, Chinese colors have standards. The huge turquoise cyan facade separates the equipotential area from other spaces. Its other spatial role is very similar to the shadow wall in the traditional courtyard house in Beijing. Cyan is the color of when things are born. Even if you don’t understand the reasons, the joy of the beginning of everything can be felt. The ups and downs of the surface origami break the dullness, and the roof ceiling also responds to each other. The big red color is clearly dotted in several places in the space. The addition of traditional components such as the Forbidden City gates and door leaves is more powerful, clarifying the brand tone and not overwhelming the guests, and the rest of the red color will all sink into the space. In addition, copper and a large amount of black set the tone for a calm space. For the designer, black is indeed colorful, just like the five colors of ink, which will be scorched, thick, heavy, light, and clear when it meets water. After entering the space, it is the result of the light and shadow superimposed on wood, metal, and cement, giving support to all the young and contemporary parts of the space. Compared with color picking, the final color balance that settles in the space is the key. Balancing the excitement index and sense of security of diners is the power of space.




03 Art is free and friendly

Artwork as an embellishment is not the focus of the space, or freedom and kindness are not hard to find artistic viewpoints. Whether it is the eaves ridge beast, the head of the paving, or the sculptures and paintings of contemporary artists, they are distributed in the space in a relatively free form. They are not regionally aggressive, but as a part of the whole, the posture is plain, but frequently wonderful. The three interlocking packages on the second floor can be completely opened or all separated independently. The sliding doors are opened one by one, and the Forbidden City gates also open layer by layer in the trance. The homes of emperors and people's pyrotechnics, past and present, no matter how far away, the design can always bridge the gap.
